Old Spice might be a brand that’s mainly aimed at guys but us girls want to smell great too. For some years, Old Spice was seen as a more classic brand but with an overhaul, it’s taken the modern world by storm and that includes the ladies.

Women have been raving about Old Spice scents all over social media and I wanted to jump on the bandwagon. So, I’ve researched and tried out some of the best Old Spice deodorants for ladies and am here to tell you what I’ve discovered.

Does Old Spice Have A Women’s Deodorant

Old Spice is a men’s brand and unfortunately does not currently have a range of ladies’ deodorants. However, there’s no rule when it comes to the types of scents you can and can’t use. Look at the perfume industry; there are tons of fragrances that are designed for both men and women.

So, while Old Spice might be geared towards the boys, there’s nothing wrong with women taking advantage of the many gorgeous fragrances. In fact, there are some Old Spice scents that lean more towards a feminine scent, and of course, I’ll detail some of these throughout this guide.

What I’ve noticed is that more and more women, especially those in younger age groups, are clamoring to get their hands on Old Spice deodorants. I’ve seen a plethora of female TikTok creators making videos discussing their (positive) experiences with Old Spice so it just proves that the brand is no longer just for men.

The deodorants from Old Spice are particularly effective in tackling sweat and odors and keeping you dry. They’re typically cheaper than women’s products (don’t get me started on the Pink Tax) so ladies are ditching traditional scents and going for things like Old Spice.

It therefore wouldn’t surprise me if Old Spice were to soon launch a women’s range and I think it would do really well!

My 5 Favorite Old Spice Deodorants I Recommend For Ladies

A lot of the newer Old Spice scents have quite a feminine vibe to them. Not so much so that they’ve become unsuitable for men but certainly enough that us girls can enjoy them too. Here’s my top five Old Spice deodorants for ladies.

1. Old Spice Fiji With Palm Tree

I’m starting with perhaps what is the girliest Old Spice deodorant. In fact, I’m amazed that this isn’t advertised as a women’s scent. Come on, Old Spice, admit it!

Fiji With Palm Tree is a tropical-scented deodorant with hints of florals and pina coladas. It reminds me of a beachside vacation and I can’t get enough of it, especially in the summer months. But it’s not an overpowering scent and leaves a delicate, fresh fragrance that lasts very well.

In terms of how well it prevents sweat, I’d say it was one of the better performers from Old Spice. For the average lady, it’ll keep your armpits odor-free for the entire day. Plus, I’ve heard a rumor that Harry Styles wears this deodorant so if it’s good enough for pop royalty like him, it’s good enough for me!

However, it would be unfair of me to point out that some users have reported skin irritation. This didn’t happen for me and I do have sensitive skin. But err on the side of caution and perhaps test it before you go all in.

2. Old Spice Deep Sea

Deep Sea was the first Old Spice deodorant I tried and I’ll start by saying that I was quite disappointed with the performance. Now, much like other products in the range, the deodorant stick doesn’t contain any aluminum.

While this is great news for sensitive skin, it does mean that it won’t work as effectively against sweat as an antiperspirant. I found that after a hard day, my pits were a little stinkier than when I used other scents from the range.

But, on a regular day, Deep Sea leaves you smelling shower fresh. I like how it has a refreshing, aquatic scent that gives me a real boost in the morning. Since it contains some floral notes, this is what makes it so perfect for female users.

3. Old Spice Wilderness With Lavender

As a lover of lavender, I was delighted to discover that the Wilderness deodorant is scented with wild lavender, it has a powerful aroma.

In exploring perfume notes, I’m aware that lavender is used in both male and female scents but I really feel it leans more womanly. Out of all of the Old Spice deodorants, aside from Fiji, I’d say this feels the most girly. But where Fiji is quite youthful, I think this is a more grown-up scent that will suit a more mature lady.

I was also quite impressed with how well the deodorant masked odors. It left me feeling fresh and clean all day. Plus, since this is an antiperspirant, it did exceptionally well at keeping my pits dry all day. If you sweat a lot or are going to be working hard, going to the gym, or running around after kids, this will work well for you.

4. Old Spice Clinical Sweat Defense

Clinical sweat defense has five times the odor-eliminating power than any of the other products in the Old Spice range. So, for this reason, I think it’s the perfect choice for hard-working women or ladies who find they sweat more than average.

The deodorant works well in preventing you from building up a sweat and, if you do perspire, it’ll cover up any stinky smells. In my opinion, it outperforms any of the other products from the brand in terms of sweat defense.

But what about the smell? Old Spice Clinical Sweat Defense has a very fresh and uplifting citrus fragrance that combines lemon and lime. It’s lovely in the summer and while there is definitely a masculine vibe, it works very well as a unisex fragrance. Plus, the scent lasts for hours after you apply the deodorant.

5. Old Spice Night Panther

I was hesitant about putting this final Old Spice scent on the list as it’s definitely one of the most masculine I’ve decided on. However, I know a lot of ladies that prefer to wear a slightly more manly scent and this one, composed of sandalwood and chocolate teeters just on the edge of unisex.

My first smell of it made me fall in love with the fragrance. It feels warm and rich so if you’re looking for a more luxurious-smelling deodorant then this is one I’d recommended. However, I should warn you that it’s very strong so if you’ve got a sensitive nose, maybe opt for something like Old Spice Royalty. Royalty is just as decadent with cognac and black cherry but not quite as in your face. Plus you still get the gentle masculine vibe.

Night Panther offers 48 hour sweat and odor protection and it does what you’d expect. Being one of the stronger scents, I felt it performed better against odors than something like Fiji as the scent pretty much masks everything.

Old Spice Deodorant For Women: My Final Thoughts

What I love about the Old Spice deodorant collection is that they offer a versatile range of scents. Some are incredibly manly such as Swagger whereas others, like the ones I’ve talked about in this guide, have some feminine qualities that make them suitable for men and women.

When you’re shopping for Old Spice deodorant, keep in mind the types of fragrances you usually like to wear. If you want something fresh and light then go for the more uplifting scents like Deep Sea or Gentleman’s Blend Eucalyptus and Coconut. On the other hand, if you want a more luxurious fragrance then I’d recommend something like Royalty or Night Panther.

Also, if you’re looking for a richer scent, Old Spice also offers a coffee and amber scented deodorant called Gentleman’s Blend. While it might have a manly name, it’s definitely unisex and almost smells good enough to eat. Plus, this one is packed with odor eliminating ingredients so it leaves you smelling fresher for longer.

Finally, keep in mind that Old Spice offers both deodorants and antiperspirants. Deodorant is designed to mask smells whereas anti-perspirant will prevent you from sweating; at least to a degree. The stronger products, such as the Clinical Defense are better for people who sweat heavily.

But at the end of the day, the scent you choose is very much a personal choice and a reflection of your character. And the wonderful thing about Old Spice is there’s so much variety so why not experiment and see what tempts your nose!
