One of the things that I adore about Chloé Eau de Parfum is how it makes me feel super feminine without being over the top girly. It’s like a more mature, classy way to feel feminine. In fact, I’m tempted to use the word womanly.
Of course, as many of you well know, designer fragrances like this don’t come cheap. In some stores, such as Saks Fifth Avenue, you’re looking at paying in excess of $100 for a bottle. Surely there’s got to be a cheaper way to smell this good?
Well, there is! I’ve found some wonderful dupes of Chloé EDP and I’m eager to share them with you. So let’s not waste any time!
What Similarities Are We Looking For In Chloé
Chloé Eau de Parfum is a floral fragrance for women that, as I have already told you, has a very classy quality to it. The perfume feels elegant and glamorous without being overly pink or girly. Since I’m not really a girly girl, I love the character of this perfume.
It begins with notes of litchi, peony, and freesia so it’s pretty sweet from the off. Chloé EDP then moves through a floral heart of rose, magnolia, and lily of the valley; personally, I feel it’s these notes that give the fragrance that maturity. Finally, we end with notes of amber and cedar which are rich, warm, and sweet.
So, if I’m looking for a dupe, it needs to have all, or at least some of these notes to make it worth my while.
Also, I’d want to find a fragrance that mimics the long lasting performance of Chloé. This isn’t something you’ll spray and forget about. Oh no! Chloé Eau de Parfum is a scent that lingers all day so anything that’s going to compete with it has to have the same level of intensity and strength.
Of course, I’m expecting all of this for a more affordable price, so is it possible? Let’s find out!
10 Chloé Perfume Dupes
1. Dossier Floral Peony
Dossier describes this perfume as a subtle take on traditional rose. Instantly, this told me that the fragrance would not boast the intensity of the original but I was wrong. It projects beautifully and stays on the skin long after you’ve sprayed it. But I shouldn’t have expected any less from one of the best clone houses in the world!
The fragrance notes are spot on and you’d be easily fooled into thinking that the fragrance was the original Chloé EDP. According to those that wear it day to day, Floral Peony has been a hit with just about everyone they meet; time to switch to a cheaper clone? Maybe it is!
2. Blossom Perfumery No 60
Affordably priced and with olfactory notes that mimic the original Chloé Eau de Parfum immaculately, No 60 from Blossom Perfumery is by far one of the best dupes of this floral scent.
It has some great projection on it and lasts just as well as the original so I was certainly not disappointed by the performance. However, this feels as though it’s less of a well known clone house so there isn’t as much hype around it. But I do feel that once it gets out there, this could be one of the best Chloé clones.
3. Oil Perfumery Our Impression Of Chloé
You know, if you’ve read any of my reviews before, you’ll know I’m not a fan of oil based perfumes but this one may have swayed me. The fragrance notes are almost identical aside from replacing lily of the valley with muguet. But that’s very similar in any case.
Coming in a handy 10ml rollerball bottle, I think this is the perfect perfume to pop in your handbag. But I don’t think you’ll need to top up much throughout the day since Our Impression of Chloé is remarkably long lasting.
4. Zara Rose Gourmand
Zara has done it again! The company has produced a clone of Chloé Eau de Parfum that’s pretty spot on. I mean, it isn’t the most identical replica but it’s certainly got enough about it that you’d have to sniff twice to tell them apart.
There are heavy rose scents coupled with amber and vanilla which gives the perfume its sweetness. I love how this nods towards the Chloé perfume we all know and love without trying to be its mimic.
Rose Gourmand is a rather delicate fragrance so you don’t get the powerful intensity that you get with the original. However, it does last a brilliantly long time on the skin. If you want something that you can spray and go; I’d recommend this.
5. Deja Vu Scents by Khloe
I’ll be the first to admit that the way they’ve spelled Chloé with a K kind of gives me the ick. But I have to remind myself that this is a perfume and not a first date. But if it was a first date then I have to say I’d be very impressed with the scent.
Khloe is a very close copy of the original fragrance that’s bursting with sweet, fresh rose; that’s what this perfume is all about, after all. I’m a little averse to the addition of honey in the heart as I personally think this makes it a little too sweet but if you like a gourmand, it’ll be right up your street.
One of the best things about this delicate yet long lasting Chloé EDP dupe is how affordable it is. You can certainly get that designer aroma without breaking the bank with this one!
6. Jubilee Fragrances CH84
I was honestly pretty sceptical about CH84 by Jubilee Fragrances as this is an incredibly cheap dupe. I’m talking less than $30 for 100ml! However, I was pleasantly surprised by the similarities between the two fragrances and if you’re looking for a clone that’s almost a perfect match, you won’t be disappointed.
What’s more, CH84 has longevity that blows our target scent out of the water. I’ll rave all day long about how well Chloé EDP lasts on the skin but CH84 takes it to a new level. If you want to smell amazing for half the price then I’d recommend going feet first into this brand!
7. Cute by La Rive
Cute La Rive comes in an adorable little bottle that has Chloé written all over it; well, not literally, but you know what I mean. It’s feminine at the same time as being powerful and I’m enamored by the rose accords that run through the perfume.
However, if you were looking for something that’s an exact copy of Chloé EDP, this isn’t going to be for you. It’s got sweet, fruity notes like blackcurrant and yuzu and there’s the addition of honeysuckle and sandalwood. So while it’s not spot on, I do think that this is a nice alternative if you fancy a slightly different take on floral rosy scents.
What’s more, it’s ridiculously affordable although not very widely available so you may have to search a little to get what you want.
8. Yves Rocher Moment Du Bonheur
Moment du Bonheur is another rose scent that only shares a couple of olfactory notes with Chloé Eau de parfum. If you’ve been wearing the original EDP for some time and want something along the same lines with its own personality, this may make a good choice.
It’s got the rose and cedar but it’s coupled with patchouli so it gives the fragrance a rich, earthy tone that I personally adore! This one feels a lot more like a fall or winter perfume whereas Chloé is definitely a summery number.
You’re definitely not getting the same performance but for the affordable price, it really doesn’t hurt to have a few extra sprays.
9. Perceive Oasis by Avon
Is there anything more satisfying than finding an Avon perfume that hits the spot? You know you’re getting something that’s great value for money and is still a reputable brand. So I was super excited to find this floral, pink scent from Avon called Perceive Oasis that shares some similarities with Chloé EDP.
OK, it’s far from being exactly the same but if you are looking to take just the floral accords then it’s perfect as it is bursting with the scent of peony. There’s also a nice sweetness to it but this time, it is achieved through the use of musk.
Perceive Oasis isn’t a huge performer but you wouldn’t expect that from an Avon perfume. That said, as a handbag spray for everyday use, it’s more than enough in terms of intensity and staying power.
10. Chloé Rose Edition by Chloé
If you love the Chloé brand and don’t want to move away from it but have bored slightly of the original EDP then you’ll be delighted to know there’s an alternative. Chloé Rose Edition focuses much more heavily on the rose accords so it’s brilliant for floral fans.
I love how the bottle is much cuter with its pink bow; it really brightens it up.
But more than just looking good on the dresser, Rose Edition by Chloé is a real performer. This seems to last an eternity once you’ve sprayed just a small amount and the sillage far outperforms the original.
Of course, being from the same brand, you can expect to pay any less. In fact, since this was a 2011 limited edition, you’re probably going to end up paying a little bit more.
My Final Thoughts on Chloé Dupes
I love a nice floral fragrance but they can sometimes be a little too girly for my liking. But that’s why I love Chloé Eau de Parfum; it’s feminine without being OTT. Still, it can get a bit pricey and I don’t want to wear the same perfume day in, day out for the rest of my life.
But being a rose scent, there are a lot of similar perfumes to discover. Not to mention that a lot of the world’s best clone houses are chucking out Chloé dupes like hot dinners so you won’t struggle to find an affordable copy.
