I adore the summery, warm, luxurious aroma of Soleil Blanc but my goodness isn’t it pricey! I don’t mind spending money on perfume but for everyday wear, it can sometimes be cheaper to find a suitable dupe of an existing fave fragrance.
I was incredibly pleased to find out that there are a good number of Soleil Blanc dupes that smell remarkably similar without the TF price tag.
If you’re keen to smell great for a fraction of the cost, I’ve put together a guide revealing the best Soleil Blanc dupes I’ve found.
What Similarities Are We Looking For In Soleil Blanc
I know I’ve mentioned the cost of Soleil Blanc a few times already but with some bottles retailing in excess of $400, you can see why I’m keen to find alternatives.
It’s just that the problem is that the Tom Ford version is so intense, luxurious and long lasting that clones have a hard time meeting this standard. So, one of the first things I’ll look for in a Soleil Blanc dupe is its longevity and projection. I want it to perform just as well as the original, or it won’t do!
I’m also choosing fragrances with the same or similar scent notes throughout the composition. Soleil Blanc features pink pepper, bergamot, pistachio, and cardamom at the head. The heart notes are jasmine, tuberose, and ylang ylang, while you’ll find coconut, benzoin, tonka bean, and amber at the base.
Clones need to have these scent notes and smell the same to convince me that they’re on par with Tom Ford’s creation.
10 Dupes Of Soleil Blanc
1. Dossier Powdery Coconut
Dossier is one of the most beloved perfume clone creators and it’s not hard to see why when you smell Powdery Coconut. This is an incredibly close dupe of Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc, but there is one thing missing: the peppery scent at the head.
Apart from that, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this was the same perfume. However, the main problem for me is that Powdery Coconut doesn’t last anywhere near as well as the original. That said, when I’m paying a much lower price, I can’t expect miracles in terms of performance. And, for such a well made copy, I think topping up halfway through the day isn’t the end of the world.
2. Oil Perfumery Our Impression Of Soleil Blanc
Before I properly get into the Oil Perfumery’s take on Soleil Blanc, I must remind you that this is an oil roll-on. If you prefer a spray then we’re already off to a bad start. But the ingredients are skin friendly and cruelty-free, which I love.
The Oil Perfumery delivers a very close replica of Soleil Blanc with all of the same fragrance notes. What’s more, it rivals the longevity of the original rather well. Although I would say that the projection is a little lacking so this one is probably better for intimate moments or for times where you don’t want to overwhelm with your fragrance.
3. Deja Vu Scents Inspired By Soleil Blanc
Advertised as addictive, I have to admit that their campaigning is spot on. Inspired by Soleil Blanc lures you in just like the original. With bright summery accords, Deja Vu’s take on Soleil Blanc is a pretty close match. It’s got the same fragrance notes, it’s hard to tell them apart.
And do you know what really caught my attention about this one? Inspired by Soleil Blanc lasts…and when I say it lasts, I really mean it. A couple of spritzes in the morning has that tropical beach vibe lingering all day. There are some who say it even outlasts the original. I find that amazing for such an affordable clone.
4. White Sun ALT Fragrances
ALT Fragrances is known for its ability to formulate some pretty impressive clones and their version of Soleil Blanc, daringly named White Sun, is no exception. This is an almost identical dupe; the only difference being that benzoin is replaced by a base of bitter almond. Other than that, it’s hard to tell the difference, especially to the untrained nose.
But does White Sun perform as well as the original? Well, I’m happy to tell you that it will last all day which is excellent news if you’re busy and don’t want to worry about topping up your scent halfway through the day.
I noticed that White Sun is ever so slightly softer than Tom Ford’s version. But that’s not necessarily bad; if you want a perfume for daily wear, delicate is often better.
5. Oakcha Bronze Summer
OMG you’ve never seen such a bold and brash direct copy of a perfume in your life! Oakcha has replicated Soleil Blanc down to the finest details with the exact same composition.
If you’re looking for something that’s going to be almost impossible to tell apart, then I’d massively recommend this Bronze Summer. You’re getting excellent longevity with at least eight to ten hours wear from one application. So, not only is it a perfect mimic of Soleil Blanc but it’s also fantastic value for money in terms of performance.
6. H&M Sunray
Sunray is an affordable little fashion store perfume that’s pleasant and somewhat similar to Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. It’s not a direct copy and features solar notes, giving it a summery and beach-like vibe. Although the scents is also comparable to Paco Rabanne’s Olympea.
Unlike Soleil Blanc, I’m not getting a super impressive performance.. But for the price, this is a lovely little number to pop in your handbag for freshening up throughout the day.
7. Divain 595
One of the first things you will notice about Divain 595 is how intense it is. I’m talking potentially more intensely than the original. If you like to stand out, this will be a fragrance that helps you do that.
It’s a very close copy of Tom Ford’s fragrance with heady white florals and sunny notes. Everyone I have spoken to and the reviews I have read has commented on how similar their version is; not spot on, but definitely good enough.
I’m a little let down by the longevity of 595 as it’s not quite as good as some of the other clones on my list. That said, for an affordable handbag spray, you cannot go wrong.
8. Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder
There has been a lot of hype around bronze Goddess due to its similarity to Soleil Blanc. Without a doubt, there are a lot of similarities but it’s not a spot on copy. But that is sometimes a good thing if you’re looking for something along the same lines without feeling like you are wearing the original.
Perhaps you like Soleil Blanc but want something else within the same family. That’s where I would recommend Bronze Goddess. It’s a lot cheaper and you still get the performance in terms of longevity and projection with Estee Lauder being a reliable perfume brand.
9. Fleur L’Orchidee by Karl Lagerfeld
Did you know you can pick up a bottle of Fleur L’Orchidee for under $20?! Fleur L’Orchidee is made by quirky fashion house Karl Lagerfeld and delivers a similar yet not exact copy of Soleil Blanc. If you’re looking for an affordable way to mimic that summery scent then this is one of the best perfumes out there.
Many of the same notes in the composition include the prevalent coconut, pink pepper and jasmine. They hit differently, but I like this as it nods towards the original while keeping its own identity. And if you’re looking for a long lasting fragrance, Fleur L’Orchidee won’t disappoint. It’ll see you through from morning to night.
10. Granado Bossa
Bossa Granado is a relatively new fragrance having only been launched back in 2020. This is a brilliant choice for people who want something slightly similar to Soleil Blanc without being as obvious as directly copying it.
It’s got the most essential notes like coconut and white florals but then it’s got the delightful burst of citrus at the head that makes it even more uplifting. While I like how well Bossa Granado lasts on the skin, I wasn’t so impressed with the sillage. You’d have to be quite close to someone for them to notice the scent so it’s probably not one you’d choose for occasions where you need to draw attention.
On A Final Note
Soleil Blanc is a luxurious, high-end Tom Ford fragrance that has lovers of floral fragrances going wild. This perfume is the epitome of afternoons in the sun with sweet floral notes, rich amber and solar notes. But boy, does it have a high price tag.
Luckily, I found some very impressive clones and similar perfumes. Some of the clone houses are really making a name for themselves in the perfume industry and it’s little wonder when you consider just how close to the target scent they are getting, and their Soleil Blanc dupes are no exception.
It’s essential to look at how well the perfume performs. The last thing you want is to smell like Tom Ford only to realize that the scent has dissipated within an hour. That said, I’m pleased that most of the perfumes I have gathered here boast excellent longevity and leave a cloud of beautiful fragrance behind. But don’t just take my word for it; pick your favorite and see for yourself.
